Being Brooke

Brooke Braunstein brings more than 20 years of experience in education, working with a wide range of students. She holds two Masters degrees, one in Early Education from Hunter College and the other in Counseling from Fordham University, as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts. She has taught at prestigious independent schools in NYC as a learning specialist for students with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, anxiety, and other learning differences. For the past 10 years, she has continued her work with students, both as a private tutor and as a small-group facilitator focusing on executive functioning skills and social/emotional wellness. Additionally, Brooke has led parent lectures and workshops on a range of topics.

Combining her experience as a teacher and a counselor, she is able to understand and guide students with the challenges they face in the classroom and at home. Being a mother to two (very different!)  school-age children herself, she sees first hand that every student is unique. She is able to successfully meet the needs of students with a variety of different learning styles. By empowering their own set of strengths and tools, she can help lead them to achieve academic and personal success. Brooke believes that the key to life is to do what makes you happy. When she is not helping others, she is finding her own happiness by working out, dancing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
